Headline: Having the Chishung Bendon on the train
Article:
What is the traditional Taiwanese restaurant? The Chishung Bendon.
Chishung is the number one rice producer in Taiwan. The Hualian-Taidong Valley in Eastern Taiwan has proven to be a good location for rice there.
Many years ago, it was very difficult to arrive Taitung - a mountainous region. For those hungry and exhausted travelers, the owner opened the Chishung Bendon - an 80-year-old restaurant.
With its tasty rice, half a marinated egg, a piece of smoked wild pork and sausage, some season vegetables, and homemade dried bonito flakes, the Chishung Bendon sooner has become popular in Taiwan.
Moreover, travelers can buy its Bendon when trains arrive the Chisung station. Staff of this restaurant would shout “Bendon, Bendon.” on the train platform.
“The dried bonito flakes is my favorite, and I think, that is why its sales are better than other competitors” Chen Tai-yuan, a fan of the Chishung Bendon said.
